Roosevelt’s AFJROTC volunteered at Feeding South Dakota last night where they passed out food boxes and groceries to over a hundred families in our local community! They had a great time and it is an amazing feeling knowing you are helping those in our area! Way to go AFJROTC! ♥️

Roosevelt’s own Brooklyn Rose proudly represented RHS this month as our Kiwanis Student Representative. Each week, students from six local high schools join Kiwanis meetings, and Brooklyn used her time to speak about the power of Unified Sports and how it brings our community together by living our motto:
We are Roosevelt. We are ONE. 🖤❤️
Brooklyn is a leader on and off the court, involved in:
🏀 Basketball
🎻 Orchestra
🧡 Best Buddies
🎓 Link Crew
👑 Homecoming Court
🎗️ President of Cancer Awareness Club
We’re proud to have Brooklyn representing the Rider family with heart, service, and spirit!

Student Leadership had a Zoom visit with Northwestern Mutual's Managing Director, Logan Dosch, from Fargo, ND. Logan is currently a financial advisor at the Fargo branch and has been involved in leadership roles since his time as a college athlete at Northern State University.
Logan discussed leadership attributes and how leadership skills can be developed regardless of age.
"Honesty within the realms of leading people is kind."
Thanks, Logan!

🖍️✨ This morning, Roosevelt hosted Rock the Chalk 2025 to spread kindness, positivity, and hope during Suicide Prevention Month. 💛
Students filled the sidewalks with uplifting messages and artwork, reminding each other that every Rider matters and kindness can make a difference. 🌟
Let’s keep spreading love, support, and encouragement all month long. Together, we can make an impact. 💛🖤

🏈👏 Big congratulations to our former head football coach, Kim Nelson, on being inducted into the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame!
Coach Nelson is truly one of the greats — the winningest high school football coach in South Dakota history with an incredible 314 career victories. Over his 15 years at Roosevelt, he led the Rough Riders to one 11AA state championship and four more trips to the Dakota Dome. Twice named South Dakota Coach of the Year and even a national finalist in 2015, he built a program that inspired athletes and fans across the state.
Coach Nelson’s leadership, innovation, and dedication shaped not only Roosevelt football but also left a lasting impact on the game of high school football in South Dakota. We are so proud to celebrate his legacy and this amazing honor. ❤️💛
